Saturday, November 28, 2009 12:09 - Stations 361, 272, 301, 909, and 509 were dispatched to NJTP MM 30.4 SB at the Creek Road overpass for a tractor trailer accident, reported to be on fire. Additional reports received were that the truck had struck the overpass, trees were on fire and the fire was endangering nearby houses. 3611 was first to arrive on location, reporting the tractor and half of the trailer were well involved. 3611 went in service with their deck gun using tank water knocking down the initial fire, while requesting additional resources including a tanker task force. 3624 staged at the Creek Road overpass and established a sustained water supply via fire hydrant with the assistance of Stations 312 and 391. 2723 and 3012 assisted with fire suppression activities and assisted with overhaul. Companies were on location for eight hours until the tractor trailer was cleared from the roadway.
